Easyn

Here is a picture of Easyn waiting for us to walk out to the car this morning.  She is always so happy in the mornings.  

5 months old

Ellasyn Ramey is 5 months old today!  She loves to smile and giggle, as you can see in the picture.  She is wearing a cute, little outfit that Brooke Kemp gave us.  She has also started rolling over a lot.  This has become more of an issue at night.  Before falling asleep, she rolls over and then after some time, she gets frustrated and cries.  She does not roll over from front to back yet, so maybe once she is able to do that, she will not get upset.  It might also have something to do with the fact that she is still in the bassinet and has limited space.  We were hoping the house would sell faster than this.  If it had, we would have moved Emersyn out of her crib to a big girl bed and given her crib to Ellasyn.  We may have to do that soon anyway, as opposed to waiting until we move......since that seems like it is never going to happen!

Playing at Cameron Brown Park

We had an open house today so we had to leave for a couple hours. After driving around to see what houses we may never get to buy since I do not know if our house will ever sell, we decided to stop at Cameron Brown Park. There were lots of people. Emersyn and Easyn enjoyed climbing, sliding, and swinging. Ellasyn just slept in her carrier (what a life). The girls had fun and Mommy and Daddy were tired. And wouldn't you know, no one showed up for the open house! Oh well! We had fun at the park!

The third picture is of Emersyn pauting about getting in trouble for something. She even tried to get sympathy from another family before settling on the sidewalk. What a drama queen!!

After church...

There pictures were taken after church. getting all three to halfway look at the camera proves to be a huge challenge! Below is a great action shot of Easyn during one of the many moments I was trying to get them to stand still. I caught her in mid-jump!

My Emersyn is such a big girl!!

Emersyn is almost finished with her first year of school.  She is in Ms. Mary's 3 year old preschool class at Central Learning Center (Central Day School at Central Church).  I had to spend the night there last February to get her in.  We have been very happy and Ms. Mary's personality is the perfect fit for Emersyn.

Emersyn's first REAL playdate

Emersyn went over to a friend's house without me for the first time. She went to her friend Jordyn Landon's house. Jordyn is in her class at school and I went to school with her mom. Jordyn's mom picked up Emersyn and I came and got her about 3 hours later. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall. Jordyn's mom is a kindergarten teacher and had made volcanoes at school. She made volcanoes with Emersyn and Jordyn which was a hit with Emersyn since she is OBSESSED with volcanoes...of course, this is why Jordyn's mom chose this activity.

Emersyn's dance class

Emersyn started taking ballet and tap at Studio 413 in October. It has been an experience to say the least. I never thought she would make it this long. Standing in her assigned spot and doing what Miss Kim tells her to do has proved to be a challenge! The parents were able to watch last week and I was pleasantly surprised at the progress she has made. Their recital is the end of May and it is very possible that she might actually do some of the steps of the dance rather than just stand there...that was my prediction a few months ago. Her class will be lions doing a dance to a song from The Lion King.

Ellasyn is getting so big!

I can not believe how fast Ellasyn has grown. At 4 months, she was 14 pounds which is the same that Easyn was....Emersyn was a little over 15 pounds. She is almost 5 months and I am proud to say that she is still getting breast milk!!! She has rolled over and loves to smile!! She loves for you to "squeeze" her cheeks. Sometimes this makes her giggle.

Emersyn's makeup expertise!!

Emersyn loves to put my lipstick on whenever she gets a chance.  Lately, she has taken her interests even further; she likes to apply eyeliner.  She actually does a pretty good job.  The other day when we were in Merle Norman, she took it upon herself to go into the sample drawer while I was paying for my make up.  She got hold of some lipliner that she thought was eyeliner and applied it underneath her eyes.  No more trips to Merle Norman for a while.  The pictures show Emersyn's most recent make up application session which was this morning before school.  While I was ironing my shirt, she climbed over the dog gate and went to our bathroom and got hold of my lipstick and eyeliner.  Then she put on Troy's glasses.  We toned down the lipstick and sent her to school with her eyeliner on.  Her teachers laughed as soon as they saw her.

Ellasyn's baptism

Ellasyn Ramey Secrist was baptized today at Independent Presbyterian Church by Rev. Richie Sessions. After church, we had a luncheon at Southwind for our family members who came to the baptism. Those who were able to come were Mom and Dad, Jake and Joan McInnis, Michael and Meredith Hogue (Ramey, Michael, Jr., Emma Duncan, Ellie), Kim Heathcott (Jack and Laura), Kelly Mudd, Richie and Laura Sessions (Mamie, Griffin, Margaret), and Buddy and Lanetta Lanier, and Audrey McCleney. We had a wonderful lunch and the kids got to run around since we had the back room to ourselves. Ellasyn did really well this morning. As for the other two, it clear why they are not ready to sit in "big church" yet.

SNOW!!!

This was Ellasyn's first snow. She did not experience much of it, but she did go outside for a few minutes. Emersyn and Easyn wanted to stay outside until the cold snow made their gloves wet and it started to hurt. Here is a picture of our snowman equipped with an apple slice for the mouth, a teddy graham for the eyes, and a carrot stick for the nose. Who says we do not have healthy snacks around our house!!! Grace and Rhett enjoyed the snow as well!!

Fun times with the Secrist girls!

You never know what you are going to see when you have a trio of girls!! Easyn loves to lie down next to Ellasyn on her "activity mat" or whatever you call those things. Poor Ellasyn...most of the pictures we have of her are in the swing, in her carrier, or on her boppie. I think Mommy is just too tired after working each day to be anymore creative than that. Easyn does not sit still long. This is Easyn trying to escape a highchair at a restaurant. Emersyn loves to go to the playground and here she is hanging from the rings. The last picture summarizes Emersyn and Easyn to a "t"....this time Easyn is sitting on Emersyn. Even though Emersyn is extremely headstrong and the true definition of a challenge, I think Easyn is going to win the war between the two of them. She is so tough, which I think she learned from Emersyn.
